Privacy notice

1. Who is responsible

CarKhaana operates the marketplace and is responsible for platform-level information described here. A dealership separately controls information it receives and uses for its own sales, customer relationship, legal, and operational purposes. Contact us at privacy@carkhaana.pk for privacy questions.

2. Information we collect

• Inquiry information: name, mobile number, message, vehicle, dealership, time, source page, and delivery status.
• Technical information: IP address, browser, device, approximate region, request logs, security signals, referral source, and cookie or consent choices.
• Usage information: pages viewed, searches, filters, clicks, saves, and interactions where enabled.
• Support and safety information: correspondence, attachments, report details, and investigation records.
• Dealer information: public business identity, contacts, profile content, and marketplace listings supplied through CarKhaana DMS.

3. Device-local saved cars

The current shortlist feature stores vehicle identifiers in your browser's local storage. It does not require an account and is not designed to synchronise with CarKhaana servers. Clearing storage, using private browsing, or changing device can remove the shortlist.

4. Why we use information

We use information to operate and secure the marketplace; deliver inquiries to the selected dealership; display and maintain listings; respond to support, rights, and safety requests; prevent abuse and fraud; measure and improve performance; comply with law; and establish or defend legal claims. Where consent is required for a particular cookie or communication, we will request it.

5. Sharing

We share inquiry information with the dealership you choose. We may use service providers for hosting, communications, security, analytics, storage, and support under appropriate restrictions. We may disclose information where reasonably required by law, lawful process, safety, fraud prevention, corporate restructuring, or protection of rights. We do not sell personal information as a data broker.

6. International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside Pakistan. Where this occurs, we assess the service, limit data to what is needed, and use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the risk and applicable requirements.

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including dealership follow-up, security logs, dispute handling, legal compliance, and service improvement. Different records have different periods. We delete, anonymise, or restrict information when it is no longer required, subject to legal holds and backups.

8. Security

We use proportionate administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards. No internet service is completely secure. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, complete identity documents, or payment credentials through marketplace inquiry fields.

9. Your choices and requests

You may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete information associated with you, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw a consent where processing depends on it, or ask how an inquiry was routed. Rights depend on applicable law and circumstances. We may verify identity and retain information where legally required or necessary for safety and claims.

10. Children

The marketplace is intended for people legally able to participate in vehicle-purchase decisions. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as our services and legal obligations develop. Material changes will be highlighted appropriately. Contact privacy@carkhaana.pk with a request or concern.
