Verified dealership standards

These standards define what buyers should be able to expect from dealerships using CarKhaana DMS and the public marketplace.

Effective and last updated: 30 July 2026

1. Business identity

A dealership must provide accurate business, ownership, contact, and operating-location information; complete CarKhaana's review; keep material details current; and notify us of changes that affect verification. A badge may be paused while information is reviewed.

2. Authority and lawful inventory

A dealership may list only vehicles it owns or is lawfully authorised to market and sell. It must maintain appropriate records, respect ownership and consignment arrangements, and not list stolen, unlawfully altered, encumbered without disclosure, or otherwise prohibited vehicles.

3. Accurate listing content

  • Use recent photographs of the actual vehicle unless clearly labelled otherwise.
  • State the correct make, model, variant, year, mileage, price, location, registration information, and material specifications.
  • Disclose known material modifications and material condition issues that would make the listing misleading if omitted.
  • Keep price and negotiability current and avoid bait pricing.
  • Unlist vehicles promptly when sold, archived, unavailable, or no longer authorised for sale.

4. Buyer treatment

Dealerships must respond professionally; respect inquiry preferences; avoid harassment, discrimination, coercion, or deceptive urgency; provide clear transaction terms; protect personal information; and allow a reasonable opportunity for inspection and document review consistent with legitimate safety needs.

5. Pricing, deposits, and payments

Material charges must be disclosed before commitment. Deposits, cancellation conditions, refundability, warranties, commissions, and transfer responsibilities should be recorded clearly. Dealerships must not request payment to an unrelated or unexplained account and must provide appropriate receipts.

6. Reviews and marketplace integrity

Dealerships may not manipulate engagement, fabricate inquiries or reviews, impersonate buyers, copy unauthorised content, create duplicate listings to gain visibility, circumvent platform controls, or use buyer data outside reasonable sales follow-up and legal obligations.

7. Monitoring and enforcement

CarKhaana may request evidence, correct or remove content, limit marketplace visibility, pause verification, suspend access, preserve relevant records, or refer suspected unlawful conduct where proportionate. Serious or repeated breaches may result in termination from the marketplace or DMS under the applicable dealer agreement.

8. Reporting

Buyers and dealerships can report concerns to safety@carkhaana.pk. Reports should include the listing link, dealership name, relevant dates, and supporting material that the reporter is entitled to share.
